HOW TO CLEAN AN IRON SOLEPLATE USING SALT
How to clean an Iron using SALT
How many times do you postpone ironing just because your iron is dirty?. Here is a simple solution (among many) to your dirty iron
Prepare an ironing board by placing a cotton towel on it. Make sure you choose the one you don’t really like (should be clean of course) because the dirty from your iron will shift to your towel
Sprinkle one tablespoon of salt onto the surface of the towel. The coarser the salt, the better, as it usually has more surface area.
Plug the iron in and heat it to the highest setting. Turn off steam completely (if you are using steam iron)
Iron the surface with salt by pressing gently. The dirt will stick to the salt, leaving the iron surface sparkling clean. Once you’ve gone over the salt a couple times — enough to remove any dirt from the iron — you should be good to go.
